CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL
"We love because he first loved us. " 1 John 4:19
In 2016, Cornerstone Christian High School opened its doors to 25 students, all of whom successfully completed Form 1 (Grade 9). Very generous donations from the United States made it possible for Cornerstone to build a single-block high school with two classrooms. Expansion work is currently underway, with the hope and prayer of running a fully functioning high school by 2020 that accommodates the needs of 200 students in Forms 1 through 4 (Grades 9-12). We also pray that God will provide the resources to build office space for teachers and a youth activity center.
Christian high schools are rare in Salima. We clearly felt God calling us to build this school to provided a much-needed Christ-centered educational venue for the youth in our midst.
Students follow a rigorous academic schedule. Courses include bible studies, mathematics, science, environmental studies, life skills, English, and more. We have a committed team of teachers who pour out their lives for these students.
The school has many needs. We lack basic educational supplies and resources that are commonplace in developed countries. God is graciously putting people in our midst who are donating resources--such as laptops, science equipment, and a photocopier--so that we may improve the quality of education for our students.
WILL YOU PARTNER WITH US?High School is not free in Salima. Most families cannot afford to send their children to school beyond Standard (Grade) 8. It costs $400 a year to send a student to Cornerstone Christian High School. Would you prayerfully consider sponsoring a child and/or donating to the expansion of our facility?
